The 1st Platoon is currently picking up from a high rise fire on the 4th floor of Building 3 of the Taylor Apartments. Engine 6 responded to a fire alarm on the 4th floor. When they entered the 4th floor they transmitted a Signal 30 and Box 624 was transmitted. Engine 2 was unable to respond due to Medic 2 being on a EMS call and Truck 1 was unable to respond due to Medic 1 being on a EMS call, this left no Ladder Trucks available to respond to a High Rise fire. Medic 4 was enroute to Albany Memorial with a patient transport. So that is a total of 9 firefighters unable to respond to a High Rise fire on an initial alarm of fire. Box 624 was transmitted at 19:51 pm, Truck 2 and Medic 2 went to the O'Neill apartments for a EMS call at 19:42 pm. It is currently 21:15 pm approximately a hour and a half later and Medic 2 is still sitting at Samaritan Hospital with the same patient, waiting to turn over that patient for care to the Emergency room. We get it, you don’t want to do EMS calls, now stop posting about it on social media. If it infuriates you this much to transport patients to the hospital that you treat them like garbage and talk down to them, lateral to an agency that doesn’t have ambulances and let an ambulance service transport the patients.
